In a presentation to the Pine Tree ISD Board, Monday,March 8, Ronnie Morrison announced that nominations for the 2010 Pine Tree Distinguished Alumni are now being accepted on-line.

"The Distinguished Alumni Award is one of the highest honors an organization can bestow upon a former student," said Morrison. In addition to on-line access, nominations can also be made by mailing in the nomination form or by dropping the form off at the Education Foundation office at the Pine Tree Road office.

The purpose of the DistinguishedAlumni Award is to recognize Pine Tree Alumni who have made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations and careers have honored the Tradition of Excellence at Pine Tree. The Distinguished Alumni will be recognized during Pine Tree's Homecoming weekend this fall, said Morrison.

Only graduates of Pine Tree will be eligible for the award. Nominations will be received until June 1, 2010. The Distinguished Alumni selections will be made on or before July 1 by a committee of former students chaired by the Foundation Vice President of Alumni Affairs. A new "on-line" nomination form as well as the criteria for a person to be selected Pine Tree's Distinguished Alumni (also available on-line) is now available on the Pine Tree Education Foundation webpage.
