The Fourth Annual Beacon Awards

On May 01, 2008, the Pine Tree Education Foundation will host the Fourth Annual Beacon Awards Banquet. This remarkable event recognizes teachers not only for excellence in the classroom, but for making a special difference in the life of a child. (Honorees are selected by student essays submitted to the Foundation). This year's banquet will be held at Pinecrest Country Club.

The Pine Tree Education Foundation's goal is to motivate and encourage creative and innovative educational programs. The proceeds of this event will be used to fund teacher grants which propose innovative approaches for learning strategies for which funding does not currently exist. Grant awards encourage both teachers and students and are essential to keep the tradition of excellence alive at Pine Tree ISD.
