Hosted by the Foundation the morning of the district staff convocation, this event provides an opportunity for Foundation Board members to greet and meet district teachers and staff. District Teachers of the Year are recognized and treated to lunch by the Foundation.

 

Foundation Board members visit Pine Tree campuses to surprise and award teachers with checks to fund classroom projects.

 

This banquet recognizes teachers not only for excellence in the classroom, but for making a special difference in the life of a child. The selection is based on essays submitted by students nominating a teacher who has played a particularly meaningful role in their lives. The Foundation honors one teacher from each campus as a Beacon Honoree.

 

The Foundation Board selects one Beacon honoree as the recipient of Regen Stiles Teaching Excellence Award.  This prestigious cash award is funded through the Regen Stiles Memorial Endowment Fund.
