It is the desire of the foundation board to provide long-term stability for PTEF by keeping in mind its own Mission Statement, "to Further the Tradition of Excellence by promoting and funding innovative learning strategies."

 

PTEF is challenging the Pine Tree Alumni and Pine Tree community to establish long-term investments through endowments as a way to provide for those long-term benefits that we as a community want for our Pine Tree students and teachers.

 

PTEF board members have established 3 Levels of Endowment Giving.  Donors will be permanently recognized as individual names/contributors will be inscribed on the leaves of a GIVING TREE located in the entry of the new Multi-purpose Gymnasium on the Pine Tree High School campus.  Donors will also receive periodic recognition as grants from these endowments are awarded.

 

The levels of endowment are indicated below and may be contributed over a 5-year period.  Investment income during the initial 5-year period will be added to the endowment principal.  Only the investment income on a fully-endowed fund will be used for continuing programs.  Recognized Levels of Giving are:

 

 

Since endowments may be established in the name of the donor or in memory or honor of a loved one, a legacy will be created.  An endowment entitles the designee to be honored and recognized periodically by events such as the Grants to Teachers program sponsosred by the Foundation.

 

 

Challenge your class to name and create an endowment.   Working together, Alumni Class support can realize their motto to "Continue the Tradition of Excellence!"  Your class will make a difference and be remembered through your donations supporting innovative programs at Pine Tree ISD.  How?  An individual or Alumni group may contribute and create an endowment in the name of their graduating class and challenge others from their class to contribute.  All new contributions throughout the years will allow the endowment to continue to grow. The class identity will be inscribed on the leaves of the Giving Tree sculpture and the class will receive periodic recognition from PTISD as grants from these endowments are awarded.
